Cyberinfrastructure: the Second Revolution

In the Chronicle of Higher Education, National Science Foundation Director Arden Bement outlines the shape and impacts of the coming "second revolution" in information technology known as cyberinfrastructure, and what it will mean for the nation as it transforms all sectors of society, from science and engineering to education, business, government and beyond, far more profoundly than the current Information Age already has.

With large-scale computational and data resources and decades of multi-disciplinary expertise, SDSC is playing a key role in creating this emerging cyberinfrastructure.
