Third International Workshop on HPC for Climate, Weather, and Ocean to be Held at TACC October 8-10, 2003
Published July 10, 2003
Computational scientists working in climate, weather, and ocean sciences are invited to register now to attend the Third International Workshop on High Performance Computing for Climate, Weather, and Ocean Applications (CWO), to be held at The University of Texas at Austin, October 8-10, 2003. The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), a major resource partner of the National Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (NPACI), will host the workshop.
The workshop is one of a series of conferences held every five years under the guidance of the United States Department of Defense's High Performance Computational Modernization Office. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Energy, the workshop's goals are to provide a forum to the international CWO community for the discussion of high performance computing issues.
This year's workshop will focus attention on developing a roadmap for future CWO applications. Potential participants are advised that registration is limited. Information on the session topics and registration are available at the workshop web site. -Merry Maisel
