SDSC Appoints New Education Director

The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) is pleased to announce that Diane Baxter has been appointed Education Director. Baxter will be responsible for the center's programs designed to educate and reach out to children in kindergarten through high school, with the goal of creating a new generation of scientists and researchers.
Baxter holds a Ph.D. in Zoology from Duke University and a BA in Biology from UCLA. She most recently worked with Quail Botanical Gardens where, she expanded resources - through partnerships and grants - to develop and enhance environmental education opportunities for families and children. Prior to this, Baxter was the Education Curator at the Stephen Birch Aquarium where she spearheaded development of ocean science-based curricula, courses, activities, and workshops for teachers, students, and families.
